The third graders are having fun designing and constructing their "ice" buildings. We have been inspired by reading about the ice hotel in Sweden. As soon as our buildings are done, I will post pictures. Hopefully we won't run out of sugar cubes!!

Hi again. On Thursday the Kiwanis Club of Southgate presented each third grade student with a dictionary. They were so excited. The dictionaries have more than just words and their meanings. There's tons of information including the longest word. It has over 1,000 letters!! No one could pronounce it. I don't know who could!!!!! Thank you very much Kiwanis Club.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Only a few weeks till Christmas. WOW!! Where has the time gone? We have two important tests this week. A math test on Tuesday, and a science test on Thursday. We will be going back to our Meet Michigan book on Friday. Keep December 14 open. It will be the night for our Christmas program. It will be a great night. I have heard them practicing.

Well, our wonderful holiday weekend and festival are over!! Now it is back to business. I will be sending home a little newsletter with this week's spelling and vocabulary words. Look for it in your child's take-home folder.
